Let’s make Pani Puri !

Pani Puri is one of the most popular snack in India!
Pani means  "water/juice" and Puri means "fried, round and swollen dough".
Pani puri is called by different names depending on the region, such as Golgappa (Golgappe), Phuchka, Gup Chup etc.
From street stalls to innovative fusion tables, Pani Puri is loved on all occasions.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of opportunities to eat Pani Puri at India related events and at Indian and South Asian restaurants.
And now it's time to make Pani Puri at home!

Let's make Pani Puri!
【Ingredients】
(Ambika) Combo Pani Puri Pellets + Masala 130g
■ Potatoes (Boiled and mashed)
Chickpeas (canned or boiled)
■ Salt
■ Oil to fry puris
■ Water to make spicy pani
【Please prepare if necessary】
■ Nylon Sev (Thin snack of noodles)
Boondi (fried balls of chickpea flour)
■ Coarsely chopped fresh coriander
Tamarind chutney
■ Coarsely chopped onion
■ Your favorite spices (for seasoning potatoes and chickpeas)



【How to make】
① Fry the puris in oil (or cook in the microwave at 700 watts for 20~30 seconds)
⓶ Add the Pani Puri Masala to chilled water and stir well (for 20 puris, 15g pani puri masala and 500ml water)
③ Mash the boiled potatoes coarsely
④ Add chickpeas to ③ potatoes and mix with salt and spices of your choice (★)
⑤ If you have any other ingredients of your choice, please prepare
⑥ First crack the top of the puris with a spoon or with your fingers or thumb
⑦ Stuff the ingredients made in the above ④ and ⑤ in the puris
⑧ Pour the pani into the puris or scoop the pani into the puris
⑨ Please take it all in one bite quickly (★★)

★Recommended spice combination
Red Chili powder + Cumin powder + Chaat Masala
Red Chili powder + Garam Masala + Amchur powder
★★To enjoy the crispiness of puri, please eat it immediately!

【Dahi Puri】
① Fry the puris and make a hole.
⓶ Stuff mashed or diced potatoes, tamarind chutney, coriander mint chutney and yogurt in the puris
③ Sprinkle nylon sev, red chili powder, chaat masala, cumin powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaf as you like♪



【Chole Puri】
① Fry the puris and make a hole.
⓶ Stuff chickpea curry, coarsely chopped onion and chopped coriander leaves in the puris
※ You can add the lemon juice as you like

【Mini Tacos】
① Fry the puris and make a hole.
⓶ Stuff the taco meat, chopped tomatoes, onions, lettuce, avocado and cheese in the puris
※Serve with Salsa Sauce or Tomato Jalapeno Chutney as you like♪

【Masala Puri】
① Fry the puris and make a hole.
⓶ Mix the chopped tomatoes, onions, green chili, red chili powder, chaat masala, salt and lemon juice in a bowl
③ Stuff ⓶ in the puris
※ Instead of Salt, Kala Namak is also good.

【Fill the puris with soup】
① Fry the puris and make a hole.
⓶ Pour your favorite soup
※Please try Minestrone, Vicissitudes, potage soup etc.
※When you want to add a little soup to one plate, when you want to add a small amount of strong taste dish like Ratatouille...

A variety of dessert menu using the Puris♪
◆ Make a hole in the puris, and stuff the melted chocolate and the nuts. Sprinkle powdered sugar as you like
◆ Coat the puris with melted chocolate and sprinkle the chocolate sprinkles 
◆ Make a hole in the puris, and stuff custard and fruit
◆ Make a hole in the puris, and stuff Halwa (it is nice for breakfast too)
◆ Make a hole in the puris, and stuff cream cheese (or drained yogurt) and honey
