Ingredients
For the Bhel Mix:
- 2 cups Ambika Rice Puff
- ½ cup finely chopped onions
- ½ cup finely chopped tomatoes (deseeded)
- ¼ cup boiled and chopped potatoes
- 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp sev (optional, for garnish)
- 1 tbsp roasted peanuts or moong dal (optional)
Spices & Seasoning:
- ½ tsp Ambika Red Chili Powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp Ambika Chat Masala
For the Spicy Pani (Water)
- 1½ cups cold water
- 1½ tsp Ambika Pani Puri Masala
- ¼ tsp Ambika Red Chili Powder (optional for extra heat)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
- A pinch of black salt (optional)
For the Sweet Chutney (Imli-Gud Pani)
- 2 tbsp Ambika Jaggery, grated or powdered
- 1 tbsp tamarind pulp (or ½ tbsp tamarind paste)
- ½ cup water
- A pinch of Ambika Chat Masala
Boil jaggery and tamarind in water until slightly thickened. Cool and strain.
How to Prepare
- Prepare Sweet & Spicy Waters:
- Mix Ambika Pani Puri Masala with water for the spicy pani.
- Prepare sweet chutney with Ambika Jaggery and tamarind pulp.
- Assemble the Bhel:
- In a mixing bowl, combine Ambika Rice Puff, chopped onions, tomatoes, boiled potatoes, and coriander.
- Add Ambika Red Chili Powder and Chat Masala.
- Add a spoon or two of spicy pani and sweet chutney according to your taste. Mix well just before serving.
- Garnish:
- Top with Sev, extra coriander, or a drizzle of sweet chutney if desired.
Tips:
- Serve immediately to keep the rice puff crisp.
