Chikki (or Chiki) is an Indian sweet that brings out the natural deliciousness of its ingredients.
It is made by generously coating sesame seeds with caramelized sugar and spreading it into a slab, giving it a satisfying texture. Using jaggery (unrefined cane sugar), it is mixed with grains and nuts, creating a simple sweet similar to the Japanese “kaminari-okoshi” that many Japanese people are familiar with.
