Poha Ingredients & Recipe

😋𝐀 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐡𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐬!❤️💯

📝 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

-1 cup thick poha (Rice Flake)

-1 tbsp oil

-½ tsp mustard seeds

-8–10 curry leaves

-1 green chilli (optional)

-½ onion, finely chopped (optional, keep minimal)

-¼ tsp turmeric powder

-Salt to taste

-A pinch of sugar (optional)

-Lemon juice to taste

-Fresh coriander for garnish

👩🍳 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩-𝐛𝐲-𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟏: 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐡𝐚 (Rice Flake)

-Place poha in a sieve.

-Rinse gently under running water for a few seconds.

-Drain completely.

-Let it rest for 5 minutes to soften.

-Tip: Do not soak or squeeze — poha can turn mushy.

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟐: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠

-Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.

-Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

-Add curry leaves and green chilli.

-Tip: Keep flame medium to avoid burning the curry leaves.

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟑: 𝐀𝐝𝐝 𝐎𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬

-Add chopped onion (optional).

-Sauté lightly until soft but not browned.

-Add turmeric and salt.

𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥.

Tip: Keep onions minimal for a neutral base suitable for all state variations.

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟒: 𝐀𝐝𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐡𝐚

-Add the rested poha to the pan.

-Mix gently using a folding motion.

-Tip: Avoid over-mixing to maintain fluffy texture.

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟓: 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 & 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡

-Cover and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.

-Turn off heat.

-Add lemon juice.

-Garnish with fresh coriander.
