Enjoy the rain with Chai & Samosa, Chai & Pakora!!!

In South Asian countries such as India and Pakistan, people love to have  Chai with Samosa or Chai with Pakora on rainy days.

It takes a lot of work to make Samosa at home...
If you don't have time, Frozen Samosa or Fresh Samosa (available at Ambika physical shops) can be the easy-peasy solution!
And this time, we introduce the easy recipes of Pakora!

[Onion Pakora]
It is a type of pakora like kakiage style. Also know as Onion Bhaji.
Ingredients
Onion... 1 medium size, slice to 3mm width
Fresh Coriander... 1-2 tablespoons (chopped)
Besan / Gram Flour... 3 tablespoons
Turmeric powder... 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder ... 1 teaspoon
Chili powder... 1/2 teaspoon (as you like)
Salt... 1 teaspoon
Water... as needed if the mixture is dry
Oil... Appropriate amount for frying
* You can add 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin seed, Ajwain or Coriander seed if you like!
* 1 tablespoon of Kasoori Methi is also recommended instead of the above whole spices!
* If you want to make your pakora more crispy, add 1 tablespoon Rice Powder!
* If you don't have Onions, you can use Spinach or Cabbage for this recipe!

How to cook
1. Put the onion, powder spices, salt, and chopped coriander in a bowl. Mix well and put it aside for 10 minutes.
2. Put the Besan powder, whole spice or Kasoori Methi (as you like) in a bowl of 1 and mix well. Add a little water if the mixture is dry.
3. Put the oil in a pan, warm it to about 180 ° C. Take small portions and gently drop them in the oil.
4. Fry on both sides till golden and crispy, then remove them from the pan and drain the oil.
5. Serve hot and enjoy crispy pakora with your favorite chutney, ketchup or chat masala!

Pakora

[Pakora (dough)]
You can dip your favorite vegetable/ingredients in the dough and fry!
Ingredients
Besan / Gram flour... 1 cup
Besan / Gram Flour... 1 cup
Turmeric powder... 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder ... 1 teaspoon
Chili powder... 1/2 teaspoon (as you like)
Salt... 1 teaspoon
Water... Appropriate amount 
Your favorite vegetable/paneer
Oil ... Appropriate amount for frying
* You can add 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin seedAjwain or Coriander seed if you like!
* 1 tablespoon of Kasoori Methi is also recommended instead of the above whole spices!
* If you want to make your pakora more crispy, add 2 tablespoon Rice Powder!

How to cook

 * Add 1/2 cup of water first, and adjust while checking the mixture
2. Put the oil in a pan, warm up to about 180 ° C, dip the ingredients in the dough of 1 and and fry.
3. Fry them till golden and crispy, and then remove them from the pan and drain the oil.
4. Serve hot and enjoy crispy pakora with your favorite chutney, ketchup or chat masala!
